School Culture

When you walk into a classroom at Brighter Choice Charter School for Girls, you can expect to see students who are growing emotionally and academically. We take pride in keeping our students engaged and are fulfilled by the zest for learning that has developed in many of our students.

An integral part of the positive atmosphere created in our school is the Emotional Intelligence program that has been implemented over the past two years. Students are encouraged to become familiar with their emotions. The knowledge that the students have developed about their feelings is turned into power as they are taught how to express, understand, and regulate them. Students can focus on learning more effectively when they are aware of and comfortable with their emotions.

Brighter Choice Charter School for Girls is a place where every girl can be successful. We hold our students to high expectations and set goals that pertain to their individual growth. In order to maintain a positive atmosphere, we have very clear procedures and rules.

We communicate with parents each week about the academic and social progress their children have made. Every student, parent and staff member is part of our “school family”, and each person plays an important role to the success of our school.

At Brighter Choice Charter School for Girls, learning is enjoyable and enthusiastic. School-wide contests, events, projects, and positive reward systems encourage all girls to be engaged and excited about learning. Students see our school as a place to be accepted, challenged, and proud of their accomplishments.

School Pledge

I am a leader.

          It’s not where I’m from; it’s where I’m going.

I love to learn; it helps me grow.

It’s not just what I can do but what I know!

Stand proud, stand tall, in all that you do.

Always remember to just be you!

We don’t quit; we work together!

Brighter Choice girls,

learners forever.
